I fell in love with  Body Pump several years ago!! It was actually my first workout class I did at the gym along with CXWORKS!!! Before that, at the gym, I would be on the Elliptical or doing my own circuit workout in the weight area. (Girls don’t be afraid of the weight area!! But that’s a whole other blog! =) ) As I was working away at the Elliptical I would see through the glass wall this amazing class using Barbells! It looked like so much fun!! I could hear the motivating music even through my headphones… I felt like I wasn’t getting anywhere with my current workout routine! It took me a few weeks to build up the courage but one day I finally found myself inside one of these amazing classes! OMG! I was in love! For at least a year I took BodyPump Monday, Wednesday, Friday Tuesday’s I took a yoga class…. I was so happy and really seeing results! I ended up having surgery (Wasn’t relate to working out! But that’s for another blog post!) I had to take some time off from the gym when I had the okay from my Doctor to return to working out we found out that our gym membership was going to go up! Bummer!  Ryan and I took a good look at our budget and decided the gym would have to go. Plus with the kid’s schedule, it was hard to make time to go to the gym when the classes I wanted had been scheduled…. This was a bummer, I loved my Bodypump workouts! I worked out at home putting together my own workouts. I am an Elite Personal Trainer so why not put my own workouts together. A year or so passed I was excited with my results from my own workouts but still craved the classes I once took. I had thought about signing back up for the gym but it just didn’t align with our plan for FIRE plan. WHICH LES MILLS WORKOUT SHOULD YOU DO?

This is what is so amazing about this program!! You can make it your own!!  You can literally try one workout of each, use one of their provided schedules, or mix-and-match.

Tip: You just don’t want to do a strength training workout right next to another strength workout.

With that said, they have some great workout calendars you can use.

Plus – as you get used to the workouts, you can create your own schedule.

Of course, there are other programs you could do or mix in, but those are my favorites! I just choose one from the program that suits my schedule each day since they range from 15-60 minutes typically.

WHAT EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED FOR LES MILLS WORKOUTS?

Since you’ll have access to several programs, the equipment you’ll need will vary.

Many of the workouts require no equipment.

Although, I am really glad I have a barbell and plates which are both sold on their website as well. Or check out Amazon for other weight and barbell options.

You may also need a step, bands, or yoga mat for some of the workout programs.

This program is very affordable and was way cheaper than my gym membership! I love the flexibility I have with this app. I usually workout in my living room but when we had Gillian’s room being built, I moved my workouts to my bedroom while to contractors was here.
